Bloggoals_2

I started
blogging four
months ago today
.

My goal was to start
a conversation about change and how it impacts people and organizations. By sharing observations and asking questions,
I’m hoping that we can develop strategies for anticipating change, viewing it
positively, adapting, and even changing the rules of the game as often as we
can!

To some degree our
focus is on information management: What
will happen in the world of content creation, marketing, distribution/delivery,
and the business models of media and publishing, as technology advances and
consumer demands change?

But… you can’t
talk about change without talking about traditions,
current
events
, philosophy,
and human nature (perspective,
diversity,
A
Whole New Mind
, rules,
character,
etc.).

So, why did I
start blogging?

Goal #1: To participate
in publishing and media on a personal and professional level.

Goal #2: To
satisfy my curiosity about blogging, start writing on a daily basis, and learn new
things.

Goal #3: To
“meet” people with similar interests (and, hopefully, diverse opinions about
those interests).

Goal #4: To
provide prospective clients and colleagues with a no-risk way to get to know
me. You can stop by and I may never even
know you were here!

I’m happy to
report that there have been more comments than postings on this blog, but there
are never enough comments! So, if
something strikes you (positively or negatively), please comment. We all want to hear from you.

I’ve also met
some great people (one in person) and learned so much (but not nearly
enough).

Thanks Darren (ProBlogger),
for starting this group writing project.  It’s always good to revisit your goals.
