We get jazzed about radical change.
We stand back in awe when change hits fast and
hard and companies successfully ride the wave.
But most change is slower than that.
When change is slow it’s easy to miss, or relegate
to the irrelevant, until the undertow is pulling you down.
But how do we know when we need to pay attention
and when we don’t?
We can’t know.
Sure there’s intuition, but intuition can be wrong
even when it’s based on solid observations.
The best way to manage change is to cause it!
The second best way is to take it all seriously no
matter how small it looks right now.
Great advice, Karin!
Hi Ann
Thanks for the advice: “The best way to manage change is to cause it!”
About to cause some changes in our business, hadn’t looked at it from this point of view.
And can I add a recent tip I received from Stuart (Conscious Corporation):
“to ask myself if I can picture NOT doing something. If the answer comes back no, I have an answer.”
Now that’s a change 😉
