I flew to Denver on Sunday.
When I landed, I turned on
my Blackberry and got this in an email.
Now I’m sure this is part
of a feature that allows me to notify someone else of my plane’s arrival.
But, I was the only one
who got this message and I already knew I was there!!!
How true!!!!
This would mean alot more if the message was confirming your luggage made it! 🙂 Derrick
Hi Ellen!
It was a light day and it made me chuckle too – so I thought I’d share it.
Nice to “see” you again!
Ann
Ann, you made me laugh with this one — and I too would have wondered about its use since you already knew you were there. So glad we still can laugh as we catch up or play tag with technology:-) Thanks for the smile!

I agree! I think this is a case of a good idea that didn’t quite get implemented correctly. I also got one 3 hours before my departure saying my plane was on time. That was good.
Or if this wasn’t directed at the flier (which I hadn’t noticed until you brought it up!) and I could send it to someone who was expecting me – that would be good.
I just think it’s funny!
a
funny. i guess its for those really frequent travelers who (after waking up from a short/long nap) feel lost and need to know where they are going.
on a serious note: the last line says – thank you for choosing UNited – so its actually meant only for the flier and not for the reception committee. something is wrong!
