The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) is the world’s largest general scientific organization. The best-known manifestation of AAAS publishing is Science, a journal of scientific news, commentary, and original cutting-edge research, with an estimated readership of one million.
Delta Think has had a long and productive relationship with AAAS. Initially, we guided their evaluation of scholarly hosting platform solutions by first working with key stakeholders to refine their digital publishing strategy and requirements, then preparing and managing a detailed Request for Proposal (RFP), and facilitating a structured vendor evaluation and selection process.
Our consultants have also provided a variety of additional strategic planning, project management, and business and technical analysis services for AAAS. We have served as project managers during the implementation of a digital publishing platform, content enrichment capabilities, an association management system, creation of the current Careers site, and the launch of Science Advances. We have performed numerous workflow and technology evaluations, system and technology training, and supported selected analysis for the creation of new offerings.
