Mike Sansone loves blogging, Panera, and Des Moines. You’ll love the video.
John Dodds was smitten. You
will be too.
Bob Sutton (author of The No
Asshole Rule) needs to know how
to call someone an asshole in Spanish.
Drew McLellan points us
to some unusual
gift combinations (personally I love the font choices – go see what I
mean).
Terry Starbucker has a
new dog – kind of. He’s taking role
playing to a whole new level!
Time
Magazine has named the person of the year – you’ll never guess who it is
and what people
are
saying about it.
Hi Ellen!
I’ve been watching the reactions with a lot of interest. I suppose Time didn’t make “you” person of the year to get acclaim from bloggers and those creating content. I think it’s more geared toward people that are less familiar with user-generated content.
I also love one person’s comment (maybe it was in Ann Handley’s post: http://www.mpdailyfix.com/2006/12/you_like_me_
you_really_like_me.html) that Time made the person of the year “you” and not “us”. It’s as if they’re still supporting an US and THEM situation even with this olive branch being extended.
In any case – it’s certainly gotten them a lot of “air” time!
Ann
Ann, thanks for the interesting links. I’d be interested to hear more about what you think of Time’s approach this year. Is is genuine? Will it have effect? What do you think?
Terry –
We should have done that before we got a dog! We love our dogs (we got a second one about 18 months ago), but they were a big adjustment.
Come to think of it, I probably should have had imaginary children first too. That was an even bigger adjustment!!!!
Can’t wait to hear more about Fido in the New Year!
Ann
Thanks for the link Ann! We’re still trying out the dog thing – we may need to keep this coat on for quite a while; it’s a big decision for us. All the best and Happy Holidays!
