Do you ever need to do something but you can’t
seem to get yourself going?

There’s someone you need to call but you only have
ten minutes. Surely that isn’t enough
time and you shouldn’t call now.

There’s something you need to write but you just
can’t get your brain focused on the topic.

Exercise is good for you. But who wants to start an exercise routine on
a Wednesday, you should wait until the beginning of next week or maybe the first
of the month.

What do you do when you’re in procrastination
mode?

Recognize your excuses (for what they are) and
ignore them. Just get started!

Call someone to get your brain functioning. Write things down while you talk.

But quickly stop talking, stop thinking, and just
start doing.

If it’s writing, just start putting words on paper
(or computer) until something takes shape.

If it’s a project, start with the most mundane
(mindless) task to get yourself into action mode.

If it’s change, start to do something differently even if you’re not sure it will work.

A funny thing will happen. As you get started you’ll be able to do more
– faster.

It’s like that old adage: If you want something
done, give it to someone who’s already busy.

Get busy!
