available for questions and advice, there’s nothing like hearing and seeing the
process from another patient’s perspective.
Adrian Sudbury is a young reporter that was
diagnosed with leukemia. He created a
video chronicle of his treatment and it’s quite informative.
Might there be problems with its accuracy?
Could videos improperly set patient expectations?
Perhaps, but patients are talking to each other anyway – in waiting rooms,
hallways, and outside of medical facilities all together.
Medical professionals (and publishers) have
no window into those conversations.
Supporting user generated content might allow
the medical profession (and the organizations that support it) to participate
in, comment on, or even sponsor the message.
