Ann Michael is Founder and Chair of the Board of Delta Think. Through her leadership Delta Think has grown from a single consultant to a hybrid team of staff and trusted associates and has expanded its scope from content technology to include market research, strategy development, and market evaluation. Before founding Delta Think in 2005, she progressed through the ranks of various technology and content companies, from Project Manager/Business Analyst to Executive Management. Ann was instrumental in the 2017 launch of the Delta Think Open Access Data & Analytics Tool, a comprehensive, interactive, regularly updated data set with diverse visualizations and extensive analysis.

Ann is currently the Chief Transformation Officer at AIP Publishing and is charged with increasing enterprise velocity, flexibility, and strategic alignment in data and analytics, new product development, and ongoing product operations. She is a Past President of the Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP), a past Board member for several industry organizations, a former Board Director at Joule (a Canadian Medical Association company), and a current member of both the American Society for Microbiology (ASM) Publications Committee and the Johns Hopkins University Press Advisory Board. She is a frequent organizer and speaker at industry conferences, a member of the Learned Publishing Editorial Board, and a contributor to the SSP’s blog, The Scholarly Kitchen.

She holds an MS in Policy Analysis and Public Management from SUNY Stony Brook and an MS in Business Analytics (MSBA) from the NYU Stern School.
